What is 'ART'?

When I look at pictures of famous artist from many books, sometimes I do not understand why it is famous, I do not think it really wonderful. I think ‘art’ is depend on people’s mind, if they think it is beautiful, ofcourse it beautiful! If you do not think like that… so it is not beautiful as you think. Because it is no rule and free for people to imagine, it did not limit what you have to think about it only in this way, so I think that many people might like art.


From art exhibition, I read messages from my teacher. He asked that ‘what is art?’, art in my opinion is not limit at a painted picture in beautiful frame. I think everything around us even my bedroom… not only famous artist’s bedroom from art exhibition can be art. A photo of teacher peter also art, but I do not think that people will not remember or think it is beautiful as much as picture of himself which painted by his father. It has meaning for my teacher and painter more than a photo with lots of details or coloring because painter put his heart and feeling on his work, I think like that.

The meaning of this song is about the writer love his girlfriend the way that she is. The girl does not have to be beautiful by makeup like other people, the writer still love his girl same as before. He had broke up with his ex-girlfriend before they met each other, but there is different between them. The girl makes the writer feel good and wants to be better man. He wants to make his girl to feel good when she live with him, so this is the reasons why the writer wants to improve himself and his girlfriend can proud of him.

He wants to ask his girlfriends to live with him in apartment together, he think he is not crazy to do like that bcause it is normal thing that boyfriends want to have special time with their girlfriends.

The writer wants to make his girlfirend feels happy. He wants to thank you his mom's girlfriend just because she gave her daughter birth because his girlfriend is important for the writer's life. When the girl feel down, the writer going to hold her with his arms to make his girl stop crying. He will does these things if that is okay to her.

My parent's opinion

My parents worried a lot about Thailand at the present time. There were many people were killed by southern thieves, many Thai government have an argument each other. The main opinion is focus on government and Thai teenager society. They do not like Thai government much because they think Taksin can manage the country better than them; they like Taksin to develop economic and Thai business. But I do not agree with them at all about Taksin, we all know that he corrupted. It is not good if someone who like to corrupt take money away from citizen who work hard.

Another topic is Thai teenager, they do not agree with Thai teenager were worse than teenager in the past. They thought that teenager take an interest about fashion too much and not care their education, and some teenager read too much comic includes me too. They worried that I learn some bad idea from comic, so they complaint me a lot about read comic. I disagree with them in some points, because I think they should not judge people base on their own opinion. Time changed make people can change too, so it is not wrong if someone want to make themselves relaxed by some entertainment such as reading comics or wear fashion clothes and I did not make someone in trouble.

How do I feel when I do something special or important?

Two weeks ago I was a volunteer to help sick people and made them feel good because some of them were alone; they did not have anyone to take care of them. I had never done this before, so I was really nervous to do it. I worried that I would do something wrong and it would make me get in trouble. Then, when I do something while I feel like this, it makes me slow to make decisions.

The most special and very important thing in my upper secondary life is the exam, because it will be written on my report card and affect my university if I get a terrible score. It affects me when I have time for preparing the exam, I feel very nervous and stressful more than being a volunteer at hospital. But sometimes I feel excited to do the exam; I think it is interesting to do it like the Japanese exam, because it does not make me feel pressure and it is a challenge for me.

I had this same nervous feeling when I did these special things, even though the result of it was still good for me. After I finished the exam and helped people in hospital, finally I would feel relieved and happy, also make me proud if it was difficult to be successful and I could do it. So I think it is good for me to do something special and important to make me learn and grow up.

Culture

My parents and teachers usually told me that I should not wear sexy clothes or dance likes Western people because it is not Thai culture and very bad. But when I watch television and movies, there are many Thai stars did that and many Thais like them. I watched movie ‘Suriyothai’ , they are a lot of people in the past wore clothes the way that we call sexy!. So I do not think that it is western culture anymore. Many Thais call that Western culture is bad because they wear sexy clothes, have free sex, Thai people never do embarrase things like that!. I believe that every Western people does not do like that. In same time I saw many Asian people wear sexy clothes and news about have free sex. I think it is strange!

In my mind, many countries were all same just difference at way they think. Western culture has a good side too. They very strict about copy other's works because they believe that it is not good, but in Thailand they are lots of people who copy other's works and... finally they say 'bad Western culture'. You see that? Every country’s culture is not always bad and good at all and I think many people should not say that ‘this culture is wrong and very bad, so you should not follow!’

Certainly, every country has their culture and it is not same as other in every detail. Culture is what most people believe and things that appropiate for their country. Finally I want to say that culture in some countries are not wrong as long as it does not hurt other people.

What society expects of me

WHAT SOCIETY EXPECTS OF ME

In my opinion, some parents expect their child to have a good education, a good job in the future, or be perfect. So children have to follow what their parents order them to do, I understand that they want their child to have a nice chance. But I think that sometimes it makes them cannot decide by themselves. Parents should give advice sometimes, but should not tell them what to do.

Nowadays, many people would think that if we can do entrance in a good university or a good school, we could get a good job and makes our life better. Does that mean we will be happy with our life? If I get a job and do not have much salary, does it mean I have a bad life? There are many clever people who are corruption or commic suicide because they cannot get a good grade.

Another thing that I really disagree with society is about censor. I think they censor too much sometimes. I watched “Mega clever” a famous TV program for studying, they censored breast of dummy. I do not believe that there’s someone will think that nude dummy is sexy! They should think a lot about “what” are they going to censor. Do they expect too much that Thai teenager should not watch something about sexual? But some adults watch nude video!

Finally, I also expect that some of adults are understand teenager’s opinion too, not use their opinion to expect other people to do something for them.

Young people today

This topic is about Young people today. I think teenagers at present time were nice and bad the same as the past, but things that make me think that they are different are technology and education. Certainly, young people today have more knowledge. But there are more space between Buddhism and teenager, I mean that their morality is getting worse. I think this is the problem that makes Thai society getting worse. We can see the problem when we read a newspaper and find that there were criminal teenagers between two schools fighting each other. Sometimes a few people died because of them.

Some teenagers play games and internet too much, it causes their grade to get lower. Some of them play games and they do not eat their meal or even cares about their families. It sounds bad, right?

By the way, they are not bad at all. Many young people are very clever and skillful because there are many ways for them to learn such as internet, books, and some games; different from the past that teenagers can learn only in the temple.

In my mind, internet and technology never make people get worse, but some people make them self get worse. Finally, this is what I think about Thai teenagers.
